Baked Cinnamon Apples

Ingredients
  • 2 medium to large apples
  • 1½ tbsp grass-fed butter or ghee
  • 1½ tbsp coconut sugar
  • ¼ tsp cinnamon
  • pinch of salt
  • renola or granola of choice
  • Optional: vanilla ice cream
Instructions
  1. Method:
  2. Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
  3. With a sharp paring knife or melon baller, core the apples to hollow out the middle. Do not go all the way through.
  4. Place the apples in a baking dish (cast iron skillet, pie tin, casserole dish).
  5. In a small bowl mash together the butter, coconut sugar and salt.
  6. Fill each apple evenly with the coconut sugar mixture.
  7. Bake 30-40 minutes until tender
  8. Let rest for 5 minutes, add renola or granola and serve with ice cream!!
