Stair Intervals + Accessory Work

May 11, 2018 by BrookeWeiss

This week I decided to change up my running intervals and throw in some stairs with some weighted accessory work. Running is starting to get a bit uncomfortable and I am thinking I will have to include short running burst here and there throughout workouts instead of doing full intervals. It has helped me mentally with my workouts to focus on what I can do versus what I can’t do and I have been having some really great workouts lately!

Healthy and fit lifestyles are all about doing more of what we can do and not focusing on the foods we can’t eat or exercises we can’t do. Every body needs different nourishment and different movement to be at it’s optimal most healthy self. The best way to find out what works best for your body is trying different things out. If you feel like you are in an exercise rut and no longer seeing results, your body is giving you a sign that it is in need of something different. Listen to your body and change up some of your workouts and take notice how your body and energy levels respond. Always be improving and aiming to make each day just a little bit better than the day before!

Stair Intervals + Accessory Work

6 rounds

– 5 minute stair climb

– 30 alternating DB curl

– 30 DB sumo squat pulses

– max tricep dips
