Spartan 30 WOD

October 27, 2017 by BrookeWeiss

Earlier in the year I set my sights on completing a Spartan Trifecta. A Spartan Trifecta is completing three Spartan race lengths: sprint, super and beast in one calendar year. I had all of my races laid out and this weekend was supposed to be my weekend of the beast in Dallas Texas. Well, I am currently sitting in Wisconsin watching the snow fall. No race for me tomorrow. I decided awhile ago that I wasn’t going to make the trek to Texas to run the beast. I visited Austin, TX in May when I ran my first Super. Checkout the race recap here. I had such a blast but this trip just wasn’t going to work out. In honor of the Spartan Beast tomorrow I am sharing a Spartan WOD to still feel part of the race!

I won’t be running a Spartan race tomorrow but I will still be racing. I will be running a 10 mile relay with one of my girlfriends. You guys, I haven’t ran in so long. I go for little runs with the pup maybe once week, maybe. So, this might be a bit of a struggle also considering it will be 30 degrees outside… Texas is sounding better and better… We aren’t racing to win, we are racing to have fun and get in the Halloween spirit because costumes are optional! We are going to be the dynamic duo of Paul Bunyan and Babe the Blue Ox. I get to be Babe. I have yet to find what I’m going to wear… If you can’t tell, I am very prepared for this race. Anywho, I hope all of you mid-westerners are enjoying this beautiful snow fall and good luck to everyone racing in some sort of capacity tomorrow!

P.S. If you are carving pumpkins over the weekend, save the seeds! I will have a special recipe for you Monday!
